Congratulations to Ireland Arundel of our 12 National team who was chosen as All (Great Lakes) Region. This honor was chosen by other club coaches from our Region. Great job Ireland! 

The regional qualifier took place this weekend. Our 14 National and 13 National each took home a bid for the Junior National Championship in Dallas this summer! Congratulations to Donna Zidek and Monica Lang and all of the players for solidifying 6 bids for our Michio teams this year.

Congratulations to Emily Workman of our 17 National team for her commitment to Indiana Wesleyan University. 

Congrats to our 15 National team and Jordan Vidovic who just qualified out of the Northern Lights qualifier in MN. This team will also travel to Dallas for the Junior National Championship. Our 15 Regional team took 2nd in the silver division. Great job ladies!

Samantha Pethokoukis of our 17 National team just committed to Siena College in NY. Congratulations to Sam and her family!

It's official! Our 15 Premier team has qualified for the JNC's in Dallas. Congrats to Coach Katie Kirk and the team for their great finish in the WCPL.

Congratulations to the 18 National team for a 2nd place finish in the JVA World Challenge held in Louisville over the weekend. The 17 National team also finished with an impressive 3rd place finish as well.

We are approaching our final day at JVA World Challenge in Louisville, KY. 16 Premier, coached by Bob Heersema, competes for the gold today. They picked off the 1 seed yesterday in pool play. 17 National has only one loss this weekend and will be competing in the quarter final this morning. 18 National is undefeated for the weekend. They play for the quarter final this afternoon. 

14 Premier played their last WCPL date on Saturday beating 2 of the 3 top seeded teams in their division.

Another great weekend for our Michio teams. 13 National had a 1st place finish in the Asics/Mikasa invite with 13 Premier and 13 Regional in the 2nd and 3rd spot and our 12 National and 12 Premier with a 1st and 2nd place finish at the Nike Energy Invite!

Congratulations to our 17 National team, head coach Naveed Nizam, and assistant Dan Shupryt for earning a bid to nationals in Dallas in the MEQ qualifier this weekend!

Michio's 16 National qualified in The Disney Volleyball Showcase in the 16 Open Division. They will be participating in the USAV Junior National Championship in Dallas this summer. Congrats to the players and coach Ed O'Keefe.

Congratulations to our 15 Premier who finished in 3rd place at the MEQ in St. Louis and to the 13 National who finished 5th.

What a great weekend for all of our high school teams in the President's Day Tournament. Michio 16 National took 1st place and Michio 18 National had a 3rd place finish. All 4 of our high school teams made it to the gold division. Kennedy Arundel of 16 National team receives tournament MVP while Kelsey Clark (16 National) and Michelle Konecki (18 National) receive all tournament honors.

Our 16 Premier team took 1st place in the 18's division of the Top Flight President's Day tourney while our 16 Regional team took 1st place in the 16's division. Our 11's took 3rd in the Palos Courts 12 U tourney out of 16 teams! 13 National finished in 2nd place in the 13/14 Sunsetters tournament.

It was another great weekend for our 15 Premier team. The girls are undefeated with a record of 26 sets won in the WCPL.

Congrats to our 11U team. They played at Energy today in a 12U tournament and came in first place in their pool. They were came in 3rd place overall!

The success of our teams continues again this past weekend. 12 National 6-0, 12 Premier 5-1, 12 Regional 3-3 and 13 Regional 3-0. 16, 17, 18 National all go 4 -2 for GLPL either maintaining their current rank or moving up a bracket.

Michio's 14 National maintains their 1st seed in the GLPL with their 5-1 record for the weekend. Our 13National team climbs up the ranks defeating the 2nd overall seed and going undefeated for the weekend.

Our 11's competed in their very first tournament on Saturday and finished in 3rd place in their pool of 12 year olds teams. Congrats to them.

What a way to start the season. Our 14 Premier & 14 Regional team went 3-0 in their first weekend of WCPL. 18 National, 17 National, 16 National, and 15 Regional all went 5-1 at GLPL & WCPL. Our 15 Premier team went 6-0 for the weekend. Way to go ladies!

The last few high school tournaments have been exciting for our Michio girls! Tori Walsh received MVP honors for the Northside Prep tournament and Carla Cahill and Kelsey Clarke received all tournament at the Glenbard East tournament. Excellent job girls!

Michio 15 National wins the USAV Junior National Championship in the 15 Open division!!!! Congratulations to Kelsey Clark and Maggie Scanlon - All Tournament and to Kennedy Arundel as tournament MVP!

Michio 14 National places 10th in the USAV Junior National Championship in Columbus!

Michio 17 National finished in 3rd place at the AAU National Championship. They were undefeated in matches up until the semi final on Wednesday. Camille Evans and Michelle Konecki received All-American honors. What a great run girls!

Our 14 Regional team fought hard in a 3 set match for the semi-final in the gold division at Navy Pier. They came in 3rd place overall. We are very proud of Monica Lang and her team.

Congrats to the 15 Premier team for winning the Silver division at the Asics Navy Pier Championship. The girls came in 13th place out of 50 teams.

Big congratulations goes to out to Jordan Vidovic and our 15 National team who placed 1st in the Sports Performance National Junior Classic. Kelsey Clark and Kristen Sommervile received all tournament honors. Kennedy Arundel received the tournament MVP honor. What a perfect way to cap off the holiday weekend!

Our 16 National team placed 6th overall in the open division at the NJC.

Our 15 National team placed 3rd overall at the Great Lakes Power League in the 15/16's division and our 14 National placed 2nd overall in this same league.

It was another great day for the 12 National team. They finished in 1st place at the Palos Courts tournament on Saturday, 5/5.

Our final Michio bid goes to our 13 National team who qualified at the Great Lakes regional qualifer over the weekend. Congratulations to Naveed and his players.

What a great weekend for our Michio teams. Our 15 National team earned an open bid at the Dallas Lone Star qualifier and our 12 National team earned a national bid for their 1st place finish in the Windy City Power League. This means that 3 of our Michio teams will participate in the JOV's to take place in Columbus Ohio this June to compete against the best teams in the country. Congrats to the players and the coaches!

Another great finish for our 12 Regional team this past weekend with a 2nd place finish overall.

Way to go 12 National and 13 Regional....our 12 National team won the Palos Courts 13's tourney this past weekend and our 13 Regional team made it to the semi-final.

PrepVolleyball.com ranked our 15 National as 6th in the nation and our 16 National team as 36th in the nation for their pre-season rankings. It was another special weekend for Michio Chicago! Our 17 National were crowned champions of the Energy VBC 17/18 College Recruitment Invitational and our 16 National finished 6th overall. 13 National won the Asics/Mikasa Invite in the 15's division. Our 12 National and 15 National went 6-0 in their power leagues.
